Tasting Notes:
Ruby red of beautiful luminosity with a garnet rim. Notes of vanilla, tobacco, coffee and clove on the nose. Good acidity and freshness on the palate, the soft and round tannin integrates well with the body of the wine. The mouth finish is quite persistent with notes of licorice and pepper.

Ideal pairing:
Rosticciana and roast pork, Rabbit or Lamb in a stew.

Grapes: Sangiovese

Vineyard: "Old House" vineyard, 500 m above sea level, northwest exposure. Calcareous/marly drained soils. Guyot training system.

Yield per hectare: 70 quintals

Harvest: By hand in boxes. Period: late September, early October

Vinification: In vitrified cement vats for 16-18 days with daily pumping over. The wine is then transferred to steel tanks where malolactic fermentation takes place.

Refinement: 12 months in new French oak barrels. Refinement in the bottle lasts at least 6 months.

Alcohol: 13.5 % vol.
